Bright.md wins 2022 MedTech Breakthrough Award for Best Overall Telehealth Solution for second consecutive year

We’re humbled to announce Bright.md has won the MedTech Breakthrough Award for Best Overall Telehealth Solution for the second year in a row. In today’s healthcare climate, we’re honored to know our asynchronous care solution is continuing to transform overall care delivery for patients and providers, while addressing critical issues like care access, capacity shortages, and health equity.

“The pandemic has made asynchronous care more critical than ever before to address healthcare workforce shortages and provide patients with the care they need. Bright.md serves as a ‘breakthrough’ leader in asynchronous telehealth by making high-quality healthcare accessible, affordable, and convenient,” said James Johnson, managing director, MedTech Breakthrough. “Congratulations, once again this year, for being our choice for ‘Best Overall TeleHealth Solution.’”

The mission of the MedTech Breakthrough Awards is to recognize the innovation and success of health and medical companies, technologies, and solutions. Winners in other categories this year include Teladoc, Boston Scientific, Cedar, and Sleep Number, among other top companies.

Submissions for this year’s MedTech Breakthrough Awards attracted more than 3,900 nominations from more than 15 countries. Since our recognition last year, Bright.md has focused on building additional partnerships to help more patients, providers, and health systems with our asynchronous telehealth solution. We’ve deepened our integration with EHRs and begun building partnerships with other digital health platforms for more seamless handoffs within virtual care ecosystems. Because of this, we’re alleviating the administrative burdens providers face by automating chart notes and providing suggested care plans, and helping them practice at the top of their license.

In addition, we introduced Navigate, which offers a high-touch digital front door experience, directing patients to the right venue of care based on their symptoms, the first time around.

Bright.md’s asynchronous telehealth solution gathers information from patients through a dynamically-changing clinical interview, designed to mimic an in-person discussion between patient and provider. After a clinician reviews the symptoms and suggested care plan, they can offer care asynchronously in minutes. For health systems, the Bright.md solution is improving patient access, alleviating capacity constraints amid shortages, and offering a competitive advantage to drive patient retention. We’re also helping reduce the number of unnecessary ER or in-person urgent care visits, resulting in significant cost savings for the organization and some truly satisfied patients.

“We are honored to receive this award from MedTech Breakthrough for the second consecutive year,” said Steve Giannini, CEO of Bright.md. “We recently commissioned a survey that examined consumer attitudes towards healthcare and found that more than half of consumers prefer to receive some, most, or all of their healthcare virtually or online in the future–which isn’t surprising. Our solution is helping more consumers get the type of care they want, while equipping providers with automation and clinical decision support, and enabling health systems to adapt to these shifting preferences. We look forward to continuing to make an impact with both patients and providers in a time when healthcare is changing so quickly and dramatically.”
